Ujumbe wa Umoja wa Ulaya Nchini Tanzania Kukanusha Habari za Uzushi Zinazosambazwa

Ujumbe wa Umoja wa Ulaya (EU) nchini Tanzania unakanusha madai ya taaarifa zinazoenea kwenye mitandao ya kijamii zinazodai kuwa Balozi wa Umoja wa Ulaya ameitisha mkutano wa wanahabari kujadili wagombea katika uchaguzi. 

Balozi wa EU nchini hajaitisha mkutano huo wala kutoa maoni yake kuhusu wagombea wa uchaguzi mkuu.

Zaidi ya hayo, Balozi wa Umoja wa Ulaya ameondoka nchini kwenda makao makuu ya EU, Brussels, tangu Jumatatu, tarehe 1 Juni na bado hajarejea nchini Tanzania.

EU na Tanzania ni marafiki na wadau wa muda mrefu; uhusiano uliojengeka kwa kuheshimiana na kuaminiana.



Following some malicious rumours circulating on whatsapp, the EU issues the following response:


The EU Delegation rejects categorically the information circulating on social media alleging that the EU Ambassador has given a press conference commenting on election candidates.

The EU Ambassador has given no such press conference or expressed any views on the above.

Furthermore, the EU Ambassador has been out of the country on mission to EU Headquarters since Monday 1 June and has not yet returned to Tanzania.

The EU and Tanzania are longstanding partners and their relationship is based on trust and mutual respect.
